I'm sitting here watching the tree lights twinkle and thinking about the week ahead. Lots of things to do, places to go and people to enjoy. I've finished most of my holiday "to-do" list. The perfunctory tasks have been done such as, decorating the tree, sending cards, making cookies and readying the gifts. We (Gary, Jessica, Corey, AJ, Patty and I) have been to the Holidazzle Parade and enjoyed a wonderful meal, I've attended a holiday get-together with my girlfriends who enjoy sewing and crafting, I've had catch-up sessions with other girlfriends over lunches and I'm looking forward to enjoying a Christmas concert in Lakeville tonight. I have a few more catch-up lunches with friends and then the week will be capped off with cherishing my family while we celebrate the birth of Christ and the hope and love He brings to the world.
The song, "The Most Wonderful Time of the Year," is rolling through my mind and I agree--this is the most wonderful time of the year--AMEN!
